Discussion: Data Quality Index Consultation - phase 2

The IATI Secretariat has launched the second phase of the Data Quality Index (DQI) Consultation. This Consultation will be divided into three parts. The first part will focus on Timeliness and Validation measures and is now open for your feedback. Share your views before 20 March, and find out more on this Connect Consultation page.

For each section of the consultation,  the IATI Secretariat will organise a webinar to explain the proposed methodology, answer questions and share how you can engage. On Wednesday, 23 February the first webinar, on Timeliness and Validation, took place. Missed the Webinar? Read this post and check out the recordings in English, Spanish, French, and Portuguese.

The next DQI webinar, on Data Completeness, is scheduled for 30 March (15:00-16:00 UTC) - register now!

Discussion: Have you heard about the aggregation status?

This month, an interesting article on how to use the IATI data field, aggregation status, was shared in the Connect group, Netherlands Corner. The Netherlands’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs shared interesting examples on how to notify whether your data can be aggregated or not. This is important because it contributes to comprehensive data, thus improving data quality. Read the full article here!

Discussion: New methodology for identifying government entities!

Identifying government entities in IATI data enables better traceability and accountability of resource flows to government ministries and agencies. There has never been a widely used method to do so within IATI data, but a new approach to generate unique identifiers for government entities was recently proposed. Learn more about this new methodology, and engage in the Discussion created by Mark Brough (click here).
