Hi all.

We've just deployed a little service to help people preview their IATI data in a private version of d-portal (d-preview!).

Importantly, your data doesn't go into the live d-portal, but into a private version to help check your data. We find this is really useful to people involved in preparing and publishing IATI data - as not everyone can sit and check the XML !

This functionality has actually something that's been in the background for a while but we (Open Data Services Cooperative) took the decision to invest and make this public, open and robust.

It's free to all - and people can use either directly, or as an integration to their own tools/workflows. We're resourcing the server for it for six months - so will share back on how much it is used !

The previews are also deleted from the server every seven days.

Thanks, Steven Flower ! Could you set the sharing permissions to public so that we can share this more widely in Connect? You may also want to share this in the Publishing COP (https://iaticonnect.org/data-publishing-cop). For now, you will need to create a separate post for this in the Publishing COP (we are working on a cross-posting function to be released shortly!). Thank you!

This is great! Very useful. We should somehow alert the users of the publishing tools as they may not frequent Connect but would greatly benefit from this.

Melinda Cuzner great! Yes, of course - the more users the better. As stated - we're monitoring this (I think @siem may have found it was temporarily over capacity earlier today) - go easy on it folks ;)
