Hi everyone,

I am excited to share that Publish What You Fund has just launched the result of our two-year research for our Women’s Economic Empowerment: building evidence for better investments project. Here we used four data sources including IATI data to map funding going to women's economic empowerment, women's financial inclusion, and women's empowerment collectives, using a country lens.

We have produced the following reports and report summaries for Kenya, Nigeria, and Bangladesh:

  • Tracking International Funding to Women’s Economic Empowerment
  • Tracking International Funding to Women’s Financial Inclusion
  • Tracking International Funding to Women’s Empowerment Collectives
  • Assessing National Funding for Women’s Economic Empowerment

We’ve shared news of the launch on Twitter and LinkedIn, where you can engage in and share the discussion.

What’s next?

We would like to invite you to a webinar we will be hosting on August 2nd, with the Center for Global Development, entitled  “Where is the money for women’s economic empowerment?” The webinar will be moderated by Megan O’Donnell (CGD) and includes a panel of speakers from ICRW Africa, SIDA, the African Development Bank, and ActionAid Bangladesh. Please use this registration link.

Please do reach out to me (jamie.holton@publishwhatyoufund.org) if you have any questions or would like to discuss further!

Best wishes,

Jamie
