As part of the drive to consolidate all IATI software onto a single platform we've recently moved the main website from Digital Ocean to Azure. The new infrastructure features a dedicated database server, cloud based storage for the filesystem, and a dedicated Nginx Web server in front of the Django server. In addition, we simplified the underlying architecture and made some key performance changes to the code.

This new system should avoid intermittent down-time and will have greater resilience in the event of a failure. Our work has also nearly halved the load-times of individual pages.
