We wanted to update you that we updated the IATI Currency Codelist to bring it in line with changes to the ISO 4217 Currency codelist.
The change includes, adding the new SLE - Leone to the list.
There are now two Leone currencies in use. The Leone (SLL) was redenominated by removing three (3) zeros from the denominations. A new currency code SLE representing the new valuation (1’000 times old SLL) was introduced on 1st April 2022. The new currency SLE is replacing the old currency SLL as the official currency code, after the transition period to be determined.
