The Canadian Partnership for Women and Children's Health (CanWaCH), understanding the need of access to reliable, accurate and timely data to be a priority for supporting sustainable development and humanitarian action, explored its innovative and open-access platform during its session. Launched in 2017, the Project Explorer gathers a wide range of data on development, humanitarian and gender equality projects worldwide, building on IATI's work.

Data sharing has historically been - and still remains - a challenge, thus, Project Explorer has been successful in simplifying the data-sharing processes and getting partners to share data. Maintaining open and frequent communication with partners and ensuring organizations have control over what information is shared, the `Project Explorer values trust as an essential component to fostering data collaborations.
