The IATI Data Use Working Group (DUWG) is a multi-stakeholder group of volunteers from across the IATI community who work on increasing the use of IATI data, including through contributions to the evolving Data Use Action Plan and management of a member-approved Data Use Fund. Mark Brough Chairs the group, supported operationally and substantively by the IATI Secretariat. The Terms of Reference for the Working Group can be found here. Notes from the biweekly calls can be accessed here.
DUWG meetings take place every other week on Tuesdays at 10-11am EST (via Zoom) and are open to anyone in the IATI community with an interest in increasing the use of IATI data, regardless of their IATI membership status. If you have any questions on this group, or would like to be added to the Outlook invite for meetings, please contact the IATI Secretariat (Anna Whitson) here in Connect or at anna.whitson@undp.org.
Agenda for Tuesday, 30th November 2021
---
1) Review of progress on the Data Use Action Plan
2) Leadership of DUWG in 2022
---
1) Data Use Action Plan:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ICfsY1qKT6cCgmn9UZA7Mc6NyahcMoGC/ed…
The objectives in this plan are:
1. Understand barriers to data use
2. Ensure all users can access the data they need
3. Strengthen data literacy and capacity for use
4. Document real use cases
For each of these objectives, please come with your thoughts on:
* progress that has been achieved in this year
* any ongoing related work
* areas where there's a need for additional focus
For all three points, we should be thinking about DUWG, Secretariat, and other community initiatives.
The main output from this discussion should be a brief note summarising progress made this year and the DUWG's thoughts on areas we'd recommend further focus in 2022.
Please add your thoughts to this Google Doc, which we'll be using to collect inputs before and during tomorrow's meeting:
