Mark Brough posted in Data Use Working Group

Following on from last week's discussion on the Datastore, for the coming Tuesday I thought we could begin to gather inputs from the DUWG by starting to walk through the list of features.

I think the idea would be to capture user needs for each feature. We could begin working through the list of features below, and thinking about what different sorts of users would need in terms of each feature. We could also refer to the previous work that the Secretariat shared on user requirements back in September.

What does everyone think of this approach? Are there any features missing?

Features
========
1. User interface (query builder)
2. Translation
3. Valid data, or all data
4. Export data in USD?
5. Export in Excel (+ what formats do users need?)
6. 1000 records per query or everything?
7. Redirects
8. Capturing feedback

User categories
==============
1. Other systems? (big chunks – bulk) - e.g. country AIMS
2. Front-end websites? (small pieces) - e.g. publisher websites / visualisations
3. Analysts? (spreadsheets) - e.g. journalists / CSOs / officials trying to do analysis across the data

Thank you! I don't mean to be lazy but for those who might have a tough time finding the user requirements shared in September, is there a link?
Also I think the list is quite long so if we don't get all the way to the end, let's not be surprised and just schedule a part 2. I'd prefer taking more time over rushing things.
