-- This article is outdated due to changes at the IATI Registry, please refer to our article "How to register at the IATI Registry" --

During the first consultation, a few organisations mentioned they could not find their API Key on their IATI registry account. (which is needed when you want to set up your Aidstream account)

Here is how to retrieve your API Key in case it is missing:

1. Log in to the IATI Registry, with the Admin account for your organisation.

2. Go to My Account - in the blue bar at the top of your screen

my_account

3. At the bottom of the bar on the right, you should see your API key:

api_key

4. If your API Key is -none- , scroll to the top of the page and click manage

5. At the bottom of the next page, click regenerate_api_key

6. And click 'Confirm'.

=> Now you should see an API Key on your account.

If you see an error message on Aidstream related to the API key then you will need to "Regenerate API key" from the IATI Registry following the steps above.

Please note that you must use the API key from the Admin user on the IATI account, otherwise it won't work.

Hello, I see an error message popping up when I try to set up my account on AidStream along with the API key.

I have successfully generated the API key, but I get ''incorrect'' as the message. I also get incorrect on the publisher ID. See picture attached.

Is the publisher ID here the same as the IATI org identifier? I am using the same identifier, but I get ''incorrect'' for both the publisher ID and the API key.

Would highly appreciate some guidance on this, so I can continue to set up the account and add in information.

Thank you.

Catherine Wanjiku has the problem mentioned by Fatema Kakal as well. Audrey Migot-Adholla can you explain? Is this related to not being the admin account perhaps?

Hi Fatema Kakal  - sorry to hear that you're having trouble. The issue of the admin account only relates to the API key, it shouldn't prevent you from adding the publisher ID. In this case, I can see that you have added the Org ID, and not the publisher ID which is "spr" for your organisation.

I hope that helps. Let me know if you require further assistance.

Thanks,

Audrey
